The Old Model Before Attraction Marketing.
Network Marketing is a fantastic opportunity to help the average person, create an ABOVE average income. For this reason many people who have been invited to an “opp meeting” and has seen a company presentation plan, have gotten emotionally charge up and sign on the dotted line.
Because you get sold on the dream that one day in the distant to near future you will be able to make enough walk away income to fire your boss and live a life style where you can work from where you want, when you want with whom you want.
However, due to all the excitement many newly signed up network marketers neglect to ask one very important question.
“ How will you market your mlm opportunity, once you run out of family and friends to contact?”
You see there’s nothing WORSE than, being told to make a list of your top 100 people, call them on the the phone, invite them to a meeting, have no one show up and the having to go in the cold market. Burr!, it’s gives me the chills just thinking about it.
Back in the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s the only way to grow your network marketing business was one of a few ways. This is what us network internet marketers call the old fashion methods, this is where you get you leads by pounding the phone’s, holding opportunity meetings, pitching your business to leads, handing out flyers or DVD’s and of course everyone’s favorite heading to your favorite supermarket and start a conversation with a stranger to get some contact’s.
Not to knock any one’s hustle because this model still does work today, I know many top tier network marketers who run their business from this old fashion methods. The challenge is that, no matter how unique your mlm business is, no matter how many patients your company has. The average person will not feel comfortable building their business in the cold market, unfortunately this is why 95% of those people who start a home business will fail

The New School Model, Attraction Marketing
Here’s an easy would you rather question.
Q#1: Would you rather, play the numbers game and contact enough people until you make money through the traditional old- school prospecting as mentioned above?
Or…
Q#2: Would you rather, be sought after and pursued, by an endless flow of HUNGRY prospects who are dying to get on the phone with you to talk to you about YOUR business, instead of the other way around?
If you chose the latter than this my friends is what we call ATTRACTION MARKETING.
The concept of Attraction Marketing, is always about who contacts who first.
In Q#1, the Old School Method, you are chasing the prospect, and whenever you chasing someone you are perceived to be needy. Needy is never attractive in fact, needy is quit repulsive. Think about the geeky guy who call’s a girl on the phone 10 times a day asking her out on the date. She obviously holds all the power, and 9 times out of 10 will say NO!
In Q#2, the New School Method, your prospect is chasing you. The only reason someone would contact you, is if you are looked at as someone knowledgeable who can substantially improve the quality of someone’s lives, by solving a challenge or problem that they may be facing in their business.
When you help, solve people problems people will always look at you in a much higher light, than of someone, who just trying to sell them a product or have them join your business.
So how do you do apply, attraction marketing, to make your prospect chase you, instead of the other way around?
The short answer is, BRANDING.
This is a new concept for most marketers joining the industry because most MLM companies are still stuck in the 70, 80 and 90′s mindset of having you promote their product and services, by doing one on one presentations with a flip charts, plan vanilla company website and then off you go into the wild-without any other sound piece of marketing advice, except maybe apply the 3 foot rule. Yikes!
Unfortunately, this put’s you at a huge marketing disadvantage, because by promoting your company first you are eliminating the ONLY thing that will give you a competitive edge in your market place and that edge is: YOU!!!
You see are unique, You are different, and You must be FACE of Your BUSINESS
Thinking Back
When I think about how I came into the network marketing scene after being out game for a while. I could remember how I got in touch with my MLM mentor. I was searching on the web for the term MLM lead generation, his website was one of the first to come up.
He had a fully customized website with his picture and some lead generate tips that helped me. His info was raw, uncut and it had me hooked, I spent hours on his blog, and funny part was after all that searching through all of his content, I still didn’t know, what his mlm opportunity was all about. I had become very curious.
After being bombarded with dozens of people trying to manipulate me into joining their business, this was the first time I ever found myself compelled to ask someone what business they were in. The minute I picked up the phone to call him, was the minute that changed, the way I thought about the network marketing industry forever.
Because right at the moment, I was calling him, I had a gut feeling that if I joined his business, he would teach me how to do what he just did to me.
If there was just one solid piece of advice, I can give you it would be this: Brand Yourself as someone of VALUE, don’t pitch your business opportunity right off the bat. Just be a person who, is more interested in helping others and you find that people really will start to call you.
