Anthony Robbins an author, speaker and entrepreneur, once said if you want to be successful in ANY industry, you need to find a person who is successful and model what they are doing in order to experience similar results.
Well before getting involved with this internet network marketing business. I decided to do just that, so I studied the top 5 internet network marketing guru’s to discover what were some of the core principles that they all followed in order to build leads, make money and recruit people to their business.
Well after a short period of time I found some of those principles, and immediately tried to apply them to my business and within my first month of starting from scratch, I was able to generate over 100 leads to my business, got my 1st recruit and made a few thousands of dollars from people who didn’t even join my business, all from the comfort of my home without physically having to pick up the phone to call one person.
Now clearly those aren’t huge guru numbers, however it’s by far the best i’ve ever done in the 5 years of my off and on experience with network marketing.

A mistake that I see many new and old network marketers make is they, put in alot sweat equity going out into the field, trying to get people to join their business by selling them with the my company syndrome. My company just went public, or my company just made a billion dollars the last calender year, or my company has 110 patients or my company product 70 millionaires. Having a sold company, is of course a prerequisites before joining a MLM.
However the fact’s are, that this is a people business and people don’t join your company, they JOIN YOU. In network marketing, people want to work with leaders. They are not looking for best company in the world, they are looking for leaders who can potentially lead them to becoming successful in a skill, and in this case this skill would be internet network marketing.
All of 5 guru’s I’ve studied have intentionally branded themselves as leaders by provide value for their potential prospects. Through training programs on auto pilot which teaches the skill of internet marketing. By branding themselves first, instead of their company, this quickly get’s their audience sold on them being leaders who can help them.
Success Principle # 2 A blog
What I’ve noticed from these guru;s, is they all had a personal blog or website, that is completely separate from their companies website site. In order to combined your branding efforts with internet network marketing success, you need to have a blog. Through your own personal blog is where the branding process really begins, because you can share, strategies, tips and training. That will GRAB your potential prospects attention because you automatically become more attractive than someone showing a bland company website. This will life blood of your lead generating and money making business.
Success Principle # 3 Opt-box
The next thing that I see that all’s the guru’s definitely have are opt in boxes. An opt-in box is a simple form that typically goes on the right side of your blog, the right side of your blog a.k.a. side bar. With an opt in box on your side bar, this will allow you to effortlessly capture the names, email address and EVEN phone numbers of your leads. Some guru’s asked for the numbers, others don’t, asking for the telephone number seems to be a matter of personal preference rather than a necessity. But at the core of success with internet network marketing, in order to capture a endless stream of new leads to your business having an opt-in page is a MUST.
Success Principle # 4 Email Auto Responder
Once a person “opts in” or subscribes to your mailing list, they have given you permission to contact them in the future. The email is where the MAGIC all happens, because this is were you can actually develop and grow you relationship with your audience. You can give them EXCLUSIVE tips, tricks and strategies.
This is the place where I’ve seen all 5 guru’s offer either a free training or bootcamp to their leads, which gives them behind the scenes look at how to build their own internet network marketing business.
This is an attraction marketing principle, which suggests that in order to be a leader will people seek to join your team instead of the other way around, is to provide upfront value by finding a solution to a challenge that people in your market place have and then once you find it, give it away for free.
By having an auto responder and putting together a 3, 4 ,5 or day training program and drip your content to them on a daily basis, this help them stay in contact with you and through your training program you will have naturally developed a stronger bond with them. Once this happens then and only thing should promote you mlm business. This point here is critical.
Personally I have not gotten to the stage yet, but before the end of this month, I will definitely have some training up in place as well. 
Success Principle # 5. Article or Content Marketing Campaign
Having quality content is vital to building your personal brand, but equally as important is being able to deliver traffic to that content. Many people see guru’s as they are now, meaning when they promote their business they use expensive marketing campaigns like Pay Per Click, Cost Per Action, Banner Ad’s, Facebook ad’s etc to get hundreds of leads per day to their business.
The good news is they did not start out this way, infact 100% of the big time guru’s that you may or may not have even heard of today, started with a content marketing campaign, this is inexpensive and powerful way to bring in leads.
Content marketing is amethod in leverage free high traffic distribution channels like Facebook, YouTube, E-zine and thousands of other directories, to publish and share your valuable content get back links to your blog posts and start ranking on the first page of Google. The more pieces of content that get on the first page of Google, the more traffic, leads and recruits your will bring to your primary MLM business.

If your are new to this internet game, don’t feel overwhelmed as if you have to have this all done by tomorrow other wise you’ve missed the boat. If you are serious about building a network marketing empire or even if just want to build enough passive income to replace you full time income at your job, you have to remember that learning internet network marketing is a skill that can been learned like any other skill you’ve learned in the past.
