Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed trying to figure out the very best lead generation process for your business? Well if so, don’t worry because your not alone. When it comes to bringing leads to your business there are so many different people, courses and programs trying to give you a fancy explanation on how you can bring 100 leads a day or more, meanwhile all your looking for is a simple easy way to follow in order to get started and get some results.
The goods news is that in this blog post I will give you a very simple process that I used which is responsible for me bringing in 15 to 20 leads a day to my business.
They go as the following:
Step 1 Set up a blog
If you plan to create a successful lead generation process, the most important thing you can do for your business is to have blog. Your blog is the life blood of your business online. With your blog you will be able to create a central hub for people to seek out and find information that is of value to them and you will develop trust with your visitors to being a person of creditably and trust. To set up a blog by yourself all you need to do is buy domain name, set up your hosting, and set up your free installation with wordpress. ( If you aren’t a technical person or you don’t have time to set up a blog, you can use a pre-made already optimized blog like the one here.)
Step 2 Auto-Responder
The last thing you want to do is have hundreds of people visit your blog and have no place for them to sign up as a subscriber and to become a potential lead. Before writing on piece of content you want to make sure that you have an auto responder in place, this will be the place in which you store you leads details such as their name, email and phone number. This is a critical part of the lead generation process, no auto responder no lead, no sales.
Once you have your auto responder in place you can create a series of pre written emails that get sent to your leads email inbox, in order for you to keep in touch with them and build a relationship over time. The four most popular auto responder’s out there on the market today are Aweber, Get Response, Mail Chimp and Infusion Soft.
Personally I use Aweber, to find out more you can visit there site here.
Step 3 Keyword Research
Then the next important sequence that you would take is to do some keyword research. Keyword research is very important for the lead generation process because this allows you to hunt down and target your perfect prospects within your market place. The most powerful resource you can use in order to find your niche is Google’s free keyword research tool to find out the popularity of your niche.
Step 4 Create Content
Once you find some of the hot keyword phrases it’s time to start producing content for your niche. Basically there are three types of content you can create and produce on your blog, you can create written content, audio content, video content, or a combination of all three, the types of content you produce is a matter of personal preference.
However, just keep 3 things mind when you are creating it.
First you want your content to be relevant to the person who is searching for it, if your keyword is “making money online” make sure it’s exactly about that, don’t go off topic and write about something else, if you do your visitor will leave you site fast.
Second you want to make sure you content is original, Google will absolutely penalize you if try to pass on content which has already been published.
Third, your content should be valuable to the person who is searching for it. This is a huge part of the lead generation process, if you content is valuable to the people who search for it, you will most certainly have repeat visitors to your blog.
Step 5 Market Your Content
You can have the best content in the world, that is relevant, original and extremely valuable to your audience. However, it will be absolutely useless and waste of your time, if nobody can find it. There are many marketing strategies that you can employ in order to get traffic to your blog, you have Google’s Pay Per Click, Craigslist, Facebook Pay Per Click and of course Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Each one of these strategies mentioned you could make a fortune from, so don’t try to master them all at once because it will overwhelm you and is completely unnecessary. My best advise on this subject is find a comprehensive course that teaches all of these strategies and then dip into them one at a time until you find a strategy that peeks your interest.
Personally I use SEO to market my content mainly because it’s free the only thing your risking is your time instead of your hard earned money. I did a free 26 min video on how to market your content through SEO so if you want check out my article marketing strategy.
Step 6 Convert Traffic to Leads
Once you have traffic coming to your blog, to complete your lead generation process you will want to start driving your targeted traffic to your capture page. A lead capture page is a one page website that gives your prospects a compelling reason to enter their details into an opt in form (you create an optin form in your auto responder), as soon as your prospects enters their information they will instantly become your lead and all of their details will get stored in your account. In your account you can create pre written emails to follow up with your leads to build a relationship with your list so you can add value to their lives and make money at the same time as well.
The Challenge
Needless to say there is a learning curve from start to getting 15 to 20 leads a day, because you have set up your wordpress blog, you then have to put together a custom theme (which can cost a few hundred to a few thousand dollars), then you have turn you blog into an authority website so that your content can start ranking highly in the search engines ( which can take anywhere for 3 to 6 months), then you have convert your readers into leads by learning effective copy writing skills.
The fact of the matter is, it will take months before you can get your blog to start ranking highly in the search engines so you can get traffic and have successful lead generation process. This why more people quit before they even see the light of day.
So What’s The Solution
The answer is to find a highly optimized blogging platform that is already set up, that is already an authority website so your content will rank instantly without going through the 3 to 6 months process it will take for your blog to become seasoned.
Then you also want to make sure that blog it has a high converting banners or ads which takes your visitors to an optin form, where they become a lead by entering in their details in order to take them through a sales process, so they are exposed to an opportunity to buy something and when they buy you make money instantly.
When you have this set up right you will start making residual income.
You can have the very same blog set up and ready to go within minutes by watching this video. Then all you have to do is focus on finding good keywords, creating good content and marketing your content, so that you can start bring in consistent stream of leads to your business and then just let the blog do all the selling for you while you pocket the commissions.
