What is MLM Prospecting, when it comes to network marketing? It’s the ability to sort through and find people who are interested in life change. These are people who are looking for either extra money, more time, more freedom or all three. These are all common problems that 95% of the working class faces.
Network Marketing is an amazing business model because, if done correctly it can provide a solution to all three of these problems.
The industry has the ability to turn an average Joe or Jane into a 6 to 7 figure income earner, who works from the comfort of their own home, with more time and freedom that average person will kill for.
With that being said not everyone makes it big in this industry, mainly because there is a high attrition rate. Meaning that most people quit before they ever reach this goal.
What gives? If there is an opportunity to make millions of dollar, fire your boss and never work for someone again, why is it that most people quit?
The MLM Prospecting Struggle
The struggle that most network marketers face when they come into this business is that most people don’t have any sales or marketing experience. It’s actually kind of ironic, even though it called network marketing, most people don’t realize that they will have to develop marketing skills to be successful.
No matter, what your upline or anyone body standing on a podium says, your product no matter how dynamic, no matter how revovlutionary, no matter how many patents your mlm company may have. The product will never sell itself. If it did, there would be no reason to have sales force.
To prove this is quite simple, all you have to do is call your customer support line and order $5,000 worth of your best product, put it all outside on your front porch, grab your favorite chair sit down and don’t make one phone call and see how many units you sell.
Silly, example maybe, however in essence that is what most people do, they build a large expectations about how much they will make, but when it comes to action they really don’t contact or call anyone, expecting the product to sell itself.
In network marketing the only way your product will ever move is by creating a mlm sponsoring machine that will help you build a large distribution channel of leaders and happy customers, which will directly be responsible for driving up your sales. Here are 3 Steps to MLM Prospecting Domination that I am learning and apply to my business.
Step 1) Find Your Prospect
Until you have a substacial consistent flow of prospects coming to your business, mlm lead generation has to be a major part of your daily activity. This is where marketing comes into play. The best way to go about it is to decide how you are going to generate your leads. Are you going to generate by using offline leads. Such as posting bandit signs on telephone polls, buy ads space at your local news paper or are going to focus on expanding your warm market. Or do you want to be part of the Network Marketing 2.0 era. Where you will use online marketing techniques like article marketing, social media or pay per click.
Which ever way you go is fine but just make sure you have clear focus on what strategy that you going to pick. And stick with that until you generate a minium of 20 leads that you can talk to daily. Having a consistent flow of leads everyday is vital to your prospecting success. Step2) Show Your Presentation
This step is the easiest to do once you start to get your lead system in play.
Your goal is to front load as many qualified prospects as possible to see your companies presentation and then schedule a follow up call within the same day they see the presentation.
When you are prospecting offline, you want to invite your prospects to your local presentations.
When you are prospecting online you want to make sure that you only give them one thing to look at, your presentation. Do not send the multiple links of information produced by your company. This will overwhelm and confuse your prospect, remember they have not nearly as many exposures to your business as you have. Less is more at this point because an overwhelmed and confused mind always says no.
At this step you want to control the information that they receive to the best of your ability by showing them enough information to become educated on what your company has to offer them as an opportunity.
Step3) Follow up and Close
At this point in time no matter if your prospecting on line or offer line your mlm prospect has seen the opportunity and has a good enough understand about what it is that your company does. It’s decision time. You’ve made a scheduled call to talk, if they show up great if not it’s their loss. You need to have an abundance mentality when it comes to this business meaning you do not need any one person in order to make your business work.
All you need is solid people who are looking for an opportunity, willing to work and make a serious commitment to their success. So when it come decision time, don’t sound needy when you ask them to join, they will pick up on that. Remind them of the benefits and advantages of joining and them ask them to join.
