The first and most important step to start marketing money online as an internet marketer is do effective niche research.
The purpose of niche research is to find the best keywords in order to create valuable content for who people search for it, so that you can introduce or promote your products or service.And to do that it’s important to understand how Google works. Obviously Google is the search engine king right now. Most people find what they are looking for by going to Google typing a couple of keywords and then hitting enter.
Google responds with what I call a search list with those keywords.The chances are that if you are reading this blog right now then most likely in the search bar you typed in the words “niche research” or “what is niche research”. And then Google responded by coming up with a top 10 list with the most relevant article, blogs or url’s with keywords that are related to your search term, And some how within the top 10 searches, you found me. Pretty interested stuff.
A cool thing that i’ve learned early on is that each search list is different, if you type in “niche research” google brings you one list of 10 1st page relevant search and if you type in “what is niche research?” Google is going to bring you another list 1o 1st page relevant. The name of the game is come up on the 1st page on as many search lists for a keyword that you want to rank for as possible.
The more search lists you are on the higher the probability you will get found by a potential buyer.
So keep in mind that goal of niche research is to find the best keywords for your money blogs and you do that by using long tail keywords.
Long Tail Keywords are basically a group of 2, 3 or more keywords. Almost like a sentence that someone types to get a direct response of what they are looking for. So obviously you want to be very specific with the keywords you want to rank for when you are doing your keyword research.For example, if you type in German Car’s 2011 obviously that is a specific sentence, because people would clearly be only interest in looking for German car’s made this year.The main point I want you to take away is this, is if you want to make money online line, then your going to want to find keywords that DIRECTLY correspond to your product, service or offering.
So for instance, I work with an affiliate company called the Empower Network that pays out 100% commission of residual income to anyone who refers the product. So clearly, it would be wise for me to create a Empower Network Review.
And why would I do that?
Because a person who is looking up a review of some sort has already heard of the company, but maybe, is still on the fence when it comes to making a buying decision. The next logical action that a person might take before making a decision to buy is to do a search for a review of some sort to get a third party validation or the opinion of other’s people experience to determine whether or not they are making a good decision.
After reading the review if the person has decided that it would be a good idea to buy, when you take your referral link and create an anchor text in your article or blog post, that how you can make a commission.
One thing the keep in mind, that many people new to affiliate marketing make the mistake of is over thinking. They look for “the perfect” long tail keyword in the hopes that a particular search term will be the key to their to money tree. But over analyzing and over thinking your niche research strategy, will just lead to a whole bunch of headaches and frustration. The more you try to over think the strategy the less it will probably work.
The best way to learn anything in life is to first find an expert, find what they are doing that is working and then try to duplicate what they are doing in order to receive similar results.
Whenever you find yourself getting stuck with niche research, take a step back and just find the most relevant keywords to your products, services or offering. Then just start producing a piece of content that relevant to they keyword you find and once you’re done execute a content marketing strategy to get visitor to your blog or website. Then learn from trial and error and pay attention to things you do that works and keep doing that and throw out the rest out.
